mpowerdome values people and knows that its most valuable resource is the staff. We have a generic human resource criteria supported by specific skill set requirements. This assists toward selecting people who hold a high value on life, respect for self, respect for others and a willingness to grow personally and professionally, just to name a few. Where people may not have the required skills at interview, but present with other key characteristics, on the job training is provided.
mpowerdome is a learning organization so it encourages and supports a process of continuous learning for all staff. It also seeks to provide career pathways by identifying what employment outcomes staff desire and contributing toward that outcome, where it is able. In this instance, mpowerdome has an agreement with the University of Canberra to provide industry experience to students that may lead to employment. Staff may also be pursuing formal qualification through tertiary or VET sector.
mpowerdome also understands that the current employment environment is one where flexibility is valued and seeks to accommodate this. Equally, mpowerdome values flexibility and diversity within the workplace as the industry needs a degree of multi-skilling and attitude of team approach, to achieve the vision.
mpowerdome welcomes enquiry from potential employees of all ages, abilities, and experience and has a workplace environment that enables this. mpowerdome has full time, part time and flexible employees in the following areas: facility management, human resources, finance, customer service, sport and community recreation coordinators, sports coaches, fitness instructors, referees, umpires, maintenance and administration. From time to time, new positions arise due to new programs being offered.
