mpowerdome recognizes that community is made of people with varying abilities and that each and every individual has a valuable contribution to make to community.
mpowerdome is committed to providing opportunity for all people to participate in physical activity, sport and community recreation. (Please see our facility section for further information on the unique mpowerdome design to cater for people of all abilities.)
mpowerdome has an Inclusive Sport Coordinator to facilitate programs and services for people with disabilities to ensure they can access a program to assist participation and then choose a pathway relevant to their needs and desires.
As a health promoting facility, mpowerdome staff contribute their expertise to the physical needs of the body and also understand the contribution this makes to the needs of the mind and spirit.
Unity in Ability provides a basis for a culture of inclusion, however, we also recognize that tolerance from all is a vital ingredient for such a culture to become the norm. From time to time, mpowerdome provides occasion, or an event, where inclusion is the focus and we look forward to seeing these increase.
